ARM Morello evaluation board, developed at Arm based on the CHERI technology, has been prototyped in a specially designed demonstrator Armv8.2-A SoC. The aim is to prevent memory security breaches in the underlying hardware in future, rather than reactively releasing software patches. This milestone marks two and a half years since we launched the Morello research program and developers can now begin testing the boards. Spanning across five years, this project aims to enable better built-in security for future processors, wherever compute happens.  ARM has released several new resources including updates to the architecture specifications, software, tooling and two new user guides.
